Welcome to Little Voices
Blackburn, Darwen & Ribble Valley

I’m Jane, the founder of Little Voices, and together with our Vice Principal, Haylie Jones, I’m delighted to be bringing our fun and inspirational singing & drama classes to the children & young people of Blackburn, Darwen & the Ribble Valley!

This was Little Voices’ very first centre back in 2007, and we’re so proud to have been a part of the community since then.

We’ve taught thousands of local children over the years, and we continue to welcome children of all ages to train in the arts with us at our centres in Blackburn, Clitheroe & Feniscowles.

Children make friends for life at Little Voices, and it is our greatest pleasure to teach singing and drama, while watching every child who attends our classes grow in confidence over the weeks.

We have a fabulous team of tutors, each of whom takes great pride not only in teaching children how to sing and act, but in helping them develop crucial life skills that they’ll use daily as they grow up – and indeed, throughout their adult lives.

Alongside Haylie, who is one of our drama tutors here at Little Voices Blackburn, Darwen & the Ribble Valley, is Rachael Hayden, an actress and mum, who’s been a tutor with us in Clitheroe since 2010.

They’re joined by our singing tutor, Sarah Dover – a professional singer who’s currently training to teach in mainstream schools.

Singing and drama lessons have lots of benefits, and we love seeing the children beaming with happiness every week as they bounce out of their Little Voices lessons, even after a long day at school!

All our pupils take LAMDA examinations at least once a year and we boast a 100% pass rate in all examinations since we started teaching in 2007.

As well as being your main point of contact at Little Voices Blackburn, Darwen & the Ribble Valley, Haylie is a real ray of sunshine who will support you and your child throughout your Little Voices journey. You’ll meet her at your free trial lesson – just come and join us!

KEEPING EVERYONE SAFE

As you’d expect, the safety of your children is always our top priority. Our very small class sizes already fall well within the guidelines issued by the Government and the Children’s Activities Association, and we’ve implemented some simple hand-washing rules & social distancing measures to ensure we’re fully COVID-secure and can operate safely.

My son thoroughly enjoyed it at Clitheroe
5.0
My son, 6, has been attending Little Voices in Clitheroe for one year now, and has also taken part in theatre week this summer. He had no previous experience in singing or drama. He has thoroughly enjoyed it! His favourite part was learning songs from musicals like Jungle Book, The Lion Kind and Mary Poppins. The instructors have all been great – engaging, fun, and genuinely concerned about the children’s development and welfare. They make sure that every single child in the group is included in the activities and feels good about what they have accomplished during the week. At the same time they reward special achievements with their coveted ‘Star of the Week’ stickers! My son even took part in the exam, where he recited a poem he had memorized, and spoke about his teddy, in front of a complete stranger – this is definitely something I could not have done at his age!! As a parent, I can highly recommend Little Voices Clitheroe for any child who already enjoys singing and performing, but especially for children who are a bit shy and need that extra boost of confidence in a familiar and fun environment.

Little Voices does a wonderful job of promoting confidence through friendship and games within small groups. Madelyn loves to participate and adores her teachers. She doesn’t notice the hidden structure and lessons she learns. Emma, Mum of Madelyn, Parent
Theatre Weeks

My child has participated in three theatre weeks now with Little Voices Flagship. She absolutely loves them! Her favourite was “Shrek the Musical” which they did in February half term this year. I love watching the shows come together and it is great that the children get the chance to perform on the stage.
