Meet our Team

Lex Davison – Principal and Musical Theatre tutor.

“Hi, my name is Lex and I have been a primary school teacher for the last 18 years in a variety of schools in the Swindon and Wiltshire area. In this time I have had a lot of experience teaching singing, directing choirs and producing school productions and concerts. It is so exciting to see the children’s faces beaming with pride when all their hard work comes to fruition! I have a good understanding of how to get the best out of children, through fun and exciting activities. I am passionate about teaching the performing arts and aim to build confidence and essential life skills as well as nurturing the children’s abilities in music and drama.

I grew up in a musical family so you could say performing is in my blood! I play the violin and piano and have always enjoyed singing. I adore musical theatre ever since discovering Les Misérables at the age of 7 and have never looked back! My favourite place to be is a West End theatre, and I now enjoy sharing this love with my own family.

I am very proud of the pupils and their amazing achievements and just love my job as Principal and musical theatre tutor. We have established 3 centres across the area and have a 100% LAMDA pass rate!  I started the business in 2023 as I could see the huge benefit it could give to all children – whether they are already confident and dream of being on the stage, or are shy and need to be brought out of their shell. It is my mission to help children to overcome and conquer their fears and to achieve their dreams. I look forward to working with you and helping your child reach their potential to be the best that they can be!”

Drama tutor – Coming soon!

Louise Lawrence –  Drama Tutor (Holiday Workshops)

Bio pic coming soon!

Louise is our fantastic drama tutor for our school holiday workshops and has collaborated with Lex on workshops, which to date include workshops inspired by: Matilda, Nativity, Frozen and Wonka. She has been a fully qualified primary school teacher for over 20 years, working in a wide range of South Gloucestershire and Wiltshire settings. Her outlook and adaptability have allowed her to branch out to fulfill a wide range of educational roles including: class teacher, play worker, school governor, 1:1 tutor, Early Years practitioner, grassroots rugby coach and Able, Gifted and Talented tutor at an established local education centre.

Her extensive teaching experience means she brings to the role oodles of passion and creativity and is adept at inspiring and enthusing children of all ages and abilities. She finds nothing more rewarding than watching them grow in confidence to become well-rounded, self-assured individuals.

Social anxiety meant that Louise missed out on much of the joy of the performing arts in her formative years. Following a profound journey of personal development, her experiences have, without doubt, influenced her to be a confident and inclusive teacher.

Also a keen singer and flautist, Louise’s favourite musicals are Phantom or the Opera and Les Miserables which have inspired her love for musical theatre. She has led several school productions over the years and firmly believes in the importance of interweaving drama and music into her classroom teaching wherever there is merit in doing so. She is determined to use the performing arts as a tool to turn little voices into confident and expressive ones!

“What a privilege to be able to accompany Lex and Little Voices Swindon on their exciting journey to unlock the potential of their amazing pupils. Roll on the next workshop!”
