We are delighted to have been invited to work with the Year 1 children of Barrowford Primary School. Every child in the year group receives 30 minutes of fun, creative and inspiring drama and vocal tuition each week, in groups of ten children. This is within the school day, and further embeds and supports the school’s work on promoting high-quality oracy skills for every child.
We also offer singing and drama musical theatre peripatetic lessons at the school to children in all other year groups. These are in groups of either 2, 3 or 4 children, again for 30 minutes, and within the school day. As with the Year 1 children, we follow the LAMDA syllabus, and children have the opportunity to be entered for one examination per year, ensuring that our lessons follow a clear progression and accredited standards, and lead to a nationally recognised qualification of which the children can be very proud!
All of our lessons within the school support the school’s curriculum pillars and overarching vision for every child, whilst offering tuition of the highest quality with experienced teachers. The Little Voices ethos of nurturing and celebrating every child, encouraging them to be the best that they can be and using the power of positivity and kindness is evident in every lesson in bucketfuls, with happy children who are building confidence and resilience alongside valuable communication skills for life.
