About our Lessons

We’ve taught hundreds of local children over the years, and we continue to welcome children of all ages to train in the arts with us at our centres in St Annes, Freckleton, Kirkham and Staining.

Children make friends for life at Little Voices, and it is our greatest pleasure to teach singing and drama, while watching every child who attends our classes grow in confidence over the weeks.

We have a fabulous team of tutors, each of whom takes great pride not only in teaching children how to sing and act, but in helping them develop crucial life skills that they’ll use daily as they grow up – and indeed, throughout their adult lives.

Singing and drama lessons have lots of benefits, and we love seeing the children beaming with happiness every week as they bounce out of their Little Voices lessons, even after a long day at school!

All our pupils take LAMDA examinations at least once a year and we boast a 100% pass rate in all examinations since we started teaching in 2007.

As well as being your main point of contact at Little Voices Fylde, Ellena is a real ray of sunshine who will support you and your child throughout your Little Voices journey. You’ll meet her at your free trial lesson – just come and join us!

KEEPING EVERYONE SAFE

The health and wellbeing of our students and tutors is always a top priority for us here at little Voices and we are confident that the new measures we have put in place will ensure that we can continue to deliver our amazing education whilst adhering to Government guidelines and those set by the Children’s Activities Association.

We’re fortunate that our small class sizes already fall well within the guidelines and by following some simple steps, we can do our bit to ensure our staff and our children remain healthy. We’ll be bringing you the same amazing tutors and the same fun and inspirational lessons with just a few additional precautions put in place such below:

  • All Little Voices tutors have taken part in an ‘Infection Control for Children’s Activity Providers course’.
  • Rooms will be cleaned before our lessons start
  • Drop off and pick ups will take place outside for a socially distanced face-to-face handover without the need for parents or guardians to enter the venues
  • To reduce contact when dropping off and picking up we ask if this can be limited to one parent or carer and ask that there are to no gatherings at entrance gates or doors to our venues.
  • We encourage parents and guardians to avoid using public transport to get to our camps ideally walk, cycle or use a private vehicle
  • Observing 2m social distancing at all times
  • There will be no contact or direct hand-holding activities
  • Stopping the spread; if pupils, parents or family members have any symptoms then we will be asking them to stay at home until they have met the latest government self-isolation and testing requirements.
  • If we have to cancel a lesson for any reason, lesson time will be ‘banked’ for another week or given as a credit
  • Small class sizes remain; our lessons remain in groups of up to 8 children which is well within the official guidelines which allow up to 15 pupils in a group.
  • Children will be asked to wash / sanitise their hands on arrival and before they leave.
  • We will promote the ‘catch it, bin it, kill it’ approach encouraging children to use their elbows or a tissue if they sneeze of cough and ask them to wash or sanitise their hands afterwards.
  • Surfaces and touch hotspots will be regularly cleaned with disinfectant sprays and wipes throughout and between our lessons

Some of our plans may change as the guidance evolves, ensuring that we are doing all we can to keep everyone safe whilst offering an outstanding service to all parents and children.

Feel free to contact Ellena(the principal) if you have any questions.

Little Voices is fabulous. Both my children have attended since they turned 4. The confidence Little Voices has helped nurture is a skills they will have for life. The lessons also compliment many aspects of school life , (poetry, performance, speaking and listening , reading.)

What I love most about Little Voices is the balance of both musical performance and wellbeing. Little Voices not only supports children musically, but also supports them in developing skills that will benefit them throughout their lives, including: self-confidence, positive social interactions, self-expression, and communication skills. It’s a truly unique program that inspires anyone who joins.

An absolutely wonderful place for children to grow in confidence and create lasting friendships. Everyone is so supporting of each other! They also have the added bonus of taking LAMDA Examinations which is wonderful for the children! Highly recommend! The Principal is just the loveliest person and all the children love her!

I am a little voices pupil and just wanted to let everyone know how much I enjoy my lessons and at Little Voices. I have been learning singing and drama here for quite a few years, its fun, inspiring and has definitely improved my confidence. Ellena and her team work very hard to ensure we are all happy, learning and progressing too. I would give more stars if I could! And just to add the support and lessons through Covid have been so good, I look forward to them, they brighten up my week. Amelia Sharpe. Age 12

My son has absolutely loved attending the Little Voices sessions with Ellena. She has been so supportive and encouraging of him and he has grown massively in confidence. He looks forward to the sessions every week and can’t wait to tell me what he has learnt when he comes home. Thank you so much, we are both looking forward to the next term.

Nothing but good things to say about Little Voices, very professional and friendly service. My daughter was struggling with social interaction prior to joining and has since, gradually built up her confidence which has been lovely to see. Highly recommended. Thankyou to Ellena and the team!

My little boy started Little Voices at the Kirkham location back in September and he LOVES it! He gets excited to go, which is amazing to see! He went to another drama school previously and he liked it at first but as the classes grew the more he felt uneasy and started not wanting to go at all. The first thing that attracted me to LV when researching places local to us is that the classes were small and will always will be small. So he feels a lot more comfortable in a smaller group and has built some lovely friendships too. Ellena and her mum made him feel so welcome from the first moment he arrived. They are such lovely, positive and fun people! My son has had to do some online classes with Ellena and the rest of the class over this last lockdown but he still had the best time, even over a screen! Ellena did a wonderful job of keeping their spirits up and getting them to do what they would usually do in class. He is back to normal lessons from tonight and he has gone to school this morning excited for Little voices tonight! Ellena is always really good with communicating with people through email as well, keeping us all updated in everything and quick and helpful with replying. I highly recommend LV for anyone who is thinking of sending their children. It is especially perfect for those with children who may not have a lot of confidence or struggle to be around too many people. Thank you Ellena for always making the lessons fun and well structured for them!
