Meet Our Tutors
Here in South West London!

Here at Little Voices we pride ourselves on traditional yet inspirational, fun-filled lessons, which are taught by passionate and highly qualified tutors so that your child can excel in a happy and safe environment.

Our tutors are carefully selected for both their teaching ability and performing arts talent, but also for how they live our Little Voices values, creativity and ability to inspire others.

Our tutors have a wealth of experience, their lessons help children to learn new skills in a fun and engaging way. Their lessons offer a nurturing and inspirational environment, where your child is given the opportunity to build new life skills, make new friends, and above all, leave with a smile!

 

Ashlea Pearson – Principal

Ashlea is the principal of Little Voices South West London. Ashlea is also is a vocal tutor at Putney, Richmond and Fulham. She has a wealth of live performance experience and numerous years of being classically trained has put her in great stead to be a leading vocal tutor at her very own centres throughout South West London. Ashlea is extremely passionate about Little Voices and all of her pupils, she works closely with her team of tutors to make sure lessons of distinction are delivered in a fun, engaging and unique way.

 

Amy Gough

Amy started performing at the age of 2 and hasn’t stopped since! She loves doing it and teaching it – It’s such a great way of expressing yourself, whilst having fun.

Upon moving to London, she trained at ArtsEd, gaining a BA (Hons) and she’s also a qualified dance teacher with the ISTD. Throughout teaching, she has been fortunate to perform professionally in Plays and Musical Theatre.
Amy loves being part of the Little Voices team and gets such a thrill from seeing her students blossom and grow.

Amy teaches our LAMDA drama lessons at Twickenham Prep as well as St Pauls Barnes and Carlisle Infants. She is also our lead tutor for all of our Richmond holiday camps. She is an absolute asset to our team and is incredibly caring, thoughtful and inspiring.

Lizi Cole

Lizi studied at Royal Holloway, University of London and has a consultancy background in Drama teaching for everyday performance – from corporate clients to the House of Parliament! Lizi’s degree focused on Drama therapy and she began teaching drama in Early Years settings, learning disability charities, boarding schools and Home Education groups. Lizi also completed the highest Lamda qualification and holds an BA (Hons) DipRSL PCertLam.

Lizi has a fantastic aura about her teaching and being a mum herself she really does look after and inspire each and every one of our students. She has over 10 years of LAMDA teaching experience and regularly trains any new tutors that join our team on how to teach LAMDA. We are SO lucky to have her!

Lizi teaches our students at Christs School and Old Vicarage as well as leading our public centres in Putney and Richmond.

Lisa Michelle Pugh

Lisa Michelle Pugh is a welsh actress/dancer and singer living in London. Lisa trained in acting from the age of 11, she stared in her first role when she was 14 and went on to continue studying and performing from there. She has played such parts as ‘Nancy’ in Oliver Twist, ‘Ariel’ in Return to the forbidden planet and ‘Puck’ in A Midsummer Nights Dream. Lisa loves teaching this skill to the next generation as performing arts in such a huge passion of hers, she enjoys how much confidence it brings to young children and how they can apply this skill in every aspect on their life. Performing helped Lisa come out of her shell and be more confident growing up and she hopes that by teaching more and more children she can begin to show them their potential and how much they can do if they truly believe in themselves.

Lisa teaches our lessons at Chiswick & Bedford Park Prep School, Kensington Wade,  Oasis Putney and Little Voices Fulham. She also leads many of our holiday camps. She is super dedicated, and inspiring and brings an amazing energy to all of her classes.

James Thomas

James has been with us for many years. He is a professional actor with over ten years of experience in the industry. He holds a BA in Drama and Theatre from Royal Holloway, University of London and his speciality is comedy – he always brings a sense of fun and humour to the classroom which our pupils absolutely love!

James teaches for us at all of our holiday camps as well as running our LAMDA lessons at TPS.

Laura Kressly

Laura is an American freelance theatre critic and dramaturg who originally trained and worked as an actor and director. She also works broadly across theatre and education in various capacities and is a copy and content writer and editor. She is the founding editor of The Play’s The Thing UK. The National Critics Institute at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center awarded her a fellowship in 2017. Bylines include Exeunt, Fest Magazine, The British Council’s Theatre & Dance Blog, The Skinny, Focus Magazine, Wales Arts Review and Show-score. Recent production dramaturgy credits include plays at the Blue Elephant, CPT, and Camden Fringe, and she consults extensively on new plays in development.

Laura is currently writing a PhD thesis on embedded theatre criticism practice at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Laura teaches our students at Orchard House School, St Paul’s Juniors and Ewell Castle Prep. She also teaches across many of our holiday camps!

Francesca Tudor – Whelan

Francesca moved down to London at a very young age after being offered a place at Sylvia Young Theatre School. Francesca trained in Musical Theatre and had many professional roles including voiceovers for Microsoft and gained experience with musical theatre auditions and working within the industry. She then went on to study drama and theatre at Arts Educational School in Chiswick, and finished a theatre and drama studies degree at Birkbeck University, where she focused on learning more about teaching young children. Francesca is currently completing her Masters at Mountview Academy of Arts in Theatre for Community and Education where there is an emphasis on holistic practice and creative facilitation.

Francesca is extremely passionate and enthusiastic about teaching drama and focusing on confidence and vocal work. Francesca teaches our LAMDA drama classes at Prospect House School and our after-school club St Johns Walham Green Primary. She also leads holiday camps in Fulham.

 

Nicole McClean

Nicole has been with us for a few years now. She started as a cover tutor and has now gone on to be a lead tutor with us. She’s qualified to teach not only drama and singing but dance too!

She is a professional actress with over ten years of experience in the industry. Her passion for the craft and performance started at a very young age. She trained as an actress, dancer, gymnast and artist. After graduating from Plymouth University, in Theatre and Art, she trained in acting at “The Courtyard Theatre Company” in London.

Nicole teaches for us at Unicorn School, The Roche School and St Pauls Juniors as well as assisting at many of our holiday camps.

 

 

 

 

Emily Rodriguez

Emily is an actress and theatre facilitator from Los Angeles. She studied Applied Theatre and Education at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and is currently attaining a master’s degree in Theatre for Community and Education at Mountview. She is a graduate of the United States’ #1 ranked high school for the arts, LACHSA, where she studied dialects, movement, and more. Back in LA, she trained for six years in acting for camera at the Yonda Davis Studio. Most recently, Emily served as the Comedy and Drama teacher at Pauline Quirke Academy – Croydon and directed their summer term project, Alice’s Adventures. She also frequently offers private audition coaching for young people auditioning for TV and film.

Emily teaches our students at Chiswick & Bedford Park Prep School and Queens Manor Primary School. She also teaches and assists across many of our holiday camps!

 

Holly Franklin

Holly is an experienced Speech and Drama tutor based in London. Holly holds a BA in European Theatre Arts from Rose Bruford Drama School as well as completing an Erasmus placement at  Institut del Teatre in Barcelona. Since graduating Holly has worked as an actor for several big companies such as Warner Bros., Skoda, Sky and Netflix as well as teaching across a range of performing arts schools. 

Holly loves all aspects of teaching, especially things that get the students using their bodies in creative ways! She has taught LAMDA for over 7 years now, including Introductory, Acting, Verse & Prose and Public Speaking and prides herself in coming up with new and exciting games and exercises to combine learning and fun.

Holly teaches our Mini Voices LAMDA Club at Prospect House School.

 

Douglas Wood

Dougie is an actor, director and producer with a huge soft spot for facilitation and training younger voices. As an actor, he has worked at the Royal Court, Southwark Playhouse, Almeida and Soho Theatre amongst others. He is passionate about training others and finding ways to connect and make breakthroughs for participants in their skills and confidence. With Facilitation training from Hackney Empire, Extraordinary bodies and Diverse city he has experience and cherishes working with those from all ranges of ability and disability, SEN work being a core facet of his passion. As a varied producer, he understands that everyone works and learns differently and hopes to reflect that in his facilitation.

Dougie teaches for Little Voices at Dolphin School and St Mary’s C of E Primary School, Putney.

 

 

Tim Houston

Tim is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin where he spent 5 years improvising, acting, directing and completing a Classics degree. He has since spent three years teaching both Latin and LAMDA at Wycombe Abbey School, Arnold House and on a freelance basis.

An aspiring comedy performer, Tim spends a lot of his free time working on creating Fringe shows, podcasts and musicals.

Having completed his Grade 8 LAMDA in both Acting and Speaking in Public at school, Tim has worked with his mentor, a current LAMDA examiner, to ensure that he can provide the same wonderful LAMDA experience he had growing up to his students. His lessons are always looking to bring the best out of the students and are always punctuated with plenty of fun and laughs!

Tim teaches our LAMDA club at Prospect House.
